The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated Security Operations Centre Specialist to significantly impact our global Security Operations strategy. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our defenses across DoorDash, Deliveroo, and Wolt's vast international footprint. This role isn't just about reacting; it's about pioneering. You'll optimize our cutting-edge technology and AI investments, crafting new methodologies to protect our data, people, and partners in a rapidly evolving threat landscape. As our operations expand, your specialist capabilities will be essential to our continued success and our mission to innovate securely.
What You'll Be Doing
Operate within our 24/7 Global Security Operations Center, including scheduled night, weekend, and on-call shifts, to ensure continuous support for high and critical security issues.
Act as the crucial first line of defense, efficiently triaging and investigating real-time alerts concerning phishing, malware, network attacks, and privacy incidents, all within defined SLAs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for medium-to-high severity alerts, providing tactical direction, coordinating responses, and escalating as necessary.
Contribute actively to the evolution of our security playbooks and assist in the development of innovative AI-driven runbooks for automated alert triage and response.
Collaborate closely with Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, and Digital Forensics stakeholders to support complex wider security incident investigations.
Assist in the development and refinement of SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) workflows to significantly streamline incident handling processes.
Partner with the team to develop and deliver impactful cybersecurity awareness programs for employees, fostering a culture of security and emphasising robust incident reporting and best practices.
What You'll Bring
Experience: 4–6 years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment, with a proven track record of successfully resolving high-priority security alerts by identifying root causes.
Detection Optimization: Demonstrated ability to act as a technical lead in supporting the optimization of detection logic.
Monitoring & Triage: Extensive practical experience with security monitoring platforms and real-time alert triage.
Technical Prowess: Hands-on experience with core security tools and platforms including AWS security configuration, SOAR, GSO, EDR/XDR solutions, Splunk, and SQL queries.
Cloud Security Expertise: Proven knowledge and practical experience with optimal cloud security configurations, particularly across AWS.
Collaboration: An exceptional collaborative team player with a strong knowledge-sharing mindset.
Compliance Acumen: Familiarity with key security compliance standards such as ISO27001, NIS2, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
Incident Leadership: Ability to independently lead low and medium security incidents from detection through resolution.
Mentorship: Eagerness to support incidents and initiatives led by Senior Specialists, and contribute to mentoring and training more junior Security Analysts.
Global Coordination: Readiness to coordinate effectively with central security teams across the US, UK, and EU as required.
